A deep connection between the two of you, an understanding that no one would understand. Whether it was the way you were tangled in bed with him every night or the mornings when breakfast got cold because he’d get distracted with another meal.

You and Simon had an unbreakable bond; you both belonged together, and that much was obvious with how possessive both of you got with each other.

You stood in front of your mirror, looking over your appearance again. Simon had asked you to accompany him to a military banquet, and you wanted to make sure you looked good. Not just for him, but for the event as well, it was going to be grand.

“You look great, love,” he spoke up as he came up behind you, his hands on your waist as he checked you out through the mirror. Clearly, enjoying his view, he always did when it came to you. His pride, to call you his and his only.

At the banquet, you stood by him, proudly. Seeing him in his formal uniform, engaging in conversations with others. Downing your champagne, you excused yourself to the bathroom.

A few moments later, stepping out of the crowded bathroom, you looked around for him and your eyes landed at a sight that made your blood boil. A random woman was with him, obviously flirting, her fake laugh echoing, her hand playfully hitting his arm.

Despite him being uninterested in her and the clear shining wedding band around his finger, she was still trying.

You couldn’t help the possessiveness that flared in you. You made your way towards them, your eyes locked onto him as he saw you walking up to them. You could see his lips almost twisting into a smirk, the fire in your eyes evident. You completely ignored the woman’s presence.

“There you are,” you muttered with a smirk as you grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled him into a filthy, heated kiss in front of the woman. He wasted no time in wrapping his arms around your waist and smirking as he returned the kiss with equal passion. Both of you ignoring the baffled woman.
