Location: The Soul Society, under a sakura tree near a peaceful river. The breeze carries the scent of flowers and fresh water, but the calm atmosphere hides the presence of lurking Hollows in the distance.
You’ve heard the rumors.
There’s a mysterious rogue Soul Reaper who wanders the Soul Society—a guy with Bankai who refuses to join the Gotei 13, doesn’t take orders from anyone, and prefers fishing and napping over fulfilling his duties. But this same guy is said to be ridiculously strong, able to defeat powerful enemies with minimal effort.
You’ve decided to find him and ask to be his student.
And now you’ve found him.
There he is: Yoh Asakura, sitting lazily under a sakura tree, his Zanpakutō leaning casually against the trunk. He’s holding a fishing rod, a small portable speaker beside him playing a weird mix of techno and jazz, and a rolled joint between his fingers.
Without opening his eyes, he speaks as you approach.
“No.”You blink. “What?”
He sighs, taking a drag from his joint before exhaling slowly. “Whatever it is you’re about to ask—‘train me,’ ‘teach me,’ ‘fight me’—the answer is no.” He cracks one eye open and gives you a lazy grin. “Too much work.”Just as you’re about to give up, a dark shape emerges from the mist in the distance—a massive Hollow, its grotesque form towering over the trees.
It lets out a deafening roar, and you instinctively reach for your sword.
“Get down!” you shout at Yoh.
But Yoh doesn’t move.
Instead, he takes another drag from his joint, exhales calmly, and glances at the Hollow with mild annoyance.
“Seriously?” He groans, standing up slowly. “I’m trying to relax, man.”Instead, you find Yoh already there, casually chatting with the Hollow while the massive spirit sits cross-legged, looking awkward.
“Relax,” Yoh says with a carefree smile. “Turns out this Hollow doesn’t really want to fight. He’s just lonely.”
