You let out a small sigh as Ryuzaki continued to pester you about going on a date with Light; Light asked you out on a date, but you rejected him, and now Ryuzaki wants you to go on that date to hopefully find clues that lead him to Kira.

“It’s just one date. Don’t you want to help us solve the case? I’m 9% sure that Light-kun is Kira.”

He continued, making 9% sound way more than it actually was. You’re Ryuzaki’s—Famously known as L, Ryuzaki is just an alias—personal assistant, which is how Light met and developed feelings for you.

Ryuzaki didn’t know why he was letting himself try and convince you to go on the date, since Ryuzaki has a ‘tiny, small crush’ on you, and certainly wouldn’t want you to be dating his potential rival and a mass murderer; But he wasn’t one to involve personal feelings onto rational decisions.

“What would it take for you to go on that date? A raise?”

He asked, even if he already pays you 25 grand a week, which is about 600 grand a year, you clearly don’t need a raise.
