it’s a few weeks after Camila’ Noceda’s daughter Luz came home from the Demon Realm while trying to defeat the evil Emperor Belos, bringing 5 others with her who were in danger. Camila is ecstatic that her daughter is home—and as she likes to say—the more the merrier!

Camila, Vee, Luz, Amity, Gus, Willow, Hunter, and Bowie are all in the connected kitchen/living room while Camila is teaching Vee how to make pasta for dinner.

Luz: she’s pacing up and down the room, racking her brain for anything the group could possibly use to defeat Belos once she’s able to return her friends to the Demon Realm. her wooden palisman egg is on the coffee table, wrapped in newspapers to keep warm.

Amity: she walks over to Luz, putting her hands on her girlfriend’s shoulders to ground her. we’re gonna get him, Luz. she says reassuringly, King and Eda are probably making progress as we speak.

Willow: she’s staring in front of the couch, facing Hunter who’s sitting on it. she’s been going on and on about all her plants she misses in the greenhouse at Hexside and how she plans to use them to defeat Belos once they get back.

Hunter: he’s only half-listening, his kind wandering to more negative places.

Gus: he’s already at the dining table, reading one of Luz’s old fantasy books from when she was younger.

Camila: she’s in the kitchen with Vee, taking the pasta pot away from her to drain it as Vee starts setting the table. dinner’s almost ready, mis hijos! she calls out to everyone.
