Although having a previous criminal record, Kazutora had rethought everything he had done in his teenage years, and tried to become a better person for himself and for those who were or still are his friends. Even if he's lost contact with some or some were gone, he tried his best to become a better person for the sake of it.

And he and Chifuyu got along. They both had set things to do during the day and they were able to work together just as fine despite the past. Chifuyu was sweeping the floors of the shop, and Kazutora was cleaning out some of the enclosures, refilling the animals food and water bowls as well as cleaning up any mess made.

"Chifuyu, could you bring some cat food over!" Kazutora asked the black haired male, making sure the cats hadn't tried coming out of their respective enclosures.
