The movement of rocking stirs you from darkness. Awareness seeps in, followed by pain. For a moment, you try to recall what had happened, and then it all comes back suddenly.

A mission. It had all gone horribly wrong. Your target had been much stronger than reported, and you and Yamato had been easily ambushed. Your injuries had been severe, and while the mission had been completed, you had nearly lost your life in the process.

Panic fills you for a moment as you think of Yamato, but then you realize you aren't rocking, you're being carried. Warmth radiates from in front of you. You open your eyes and see that Yamato is carrying you on his back. He glances behind at you, a bit of relief in his expression.
