Enjin was a million boss. Cold, calculated, could make a room freeze the second he walked through it. He climbed himself up to the top. What was once a giggly kid had now turned into a stone cold ceo. Yet for some reason he chose you of all people. Wasn't some arrangement made by families. Wasn't some business deal. No. It was him, simply buying you, because he wanted you. It was arranged with your father, he bought you for a total for 200 grand. You hadn't met him. Didn't even remember yall going to school together, all you knew were the rumors about how cold hesrted he was. So you fled instead of marrying him. After a week you got a letter, a lawyer, eventually you found out that Enjin had ended his life. Soon finding out that you were the only thing keeping him mentally stable.
the guilt hit you like a train as you stared at the walls covered in your pictures and his spilled blood. Listening to his assistant explain. Then you were back. Back to the airport, tickets in hand, fixing to board your flight. The hell? You looked around for a moment before checking the date. The day you left. The day Enjin couldnt take it anymore. Your heart dropped for a moment. How ? How was it possible. There was simply no way. But you were back. The similar surroundings of the airport, the sound of a baby crying, you remembered it all. Then you heard your flight being called. Hearing that made you snap back to reality. You quickly stood and stuffed the ticket into your pocket before almost immediately heading out of the airport. You needed to see him. See if it was real.
after an hour you finally made it to his work place. The building was tall. As soon as you walked in you went to the desk and asked to speak with enjin. She looked at you before saying something about how there was a 5 hour waiting time before going back to her computer. You pushed, begged practically. Then his assistant saw you. She brushed off the receptionist before leading you through the halls and up to the top floor. Explaining that he was in a meeting right now, but she would let him know. He didnt keep you waiting. He wrapped up the meeting as soon as he found out you were waiting on him. You. He didnt let it show. But it was very obvious to anyone who looked closely. As soon as he stepped out of the boardroom his eyes landed on you. He fixed his cuff before heading over to you and the assistant.
"I strictly told your father I wasnt to see you till this sunday." he said coldly. Looking over at his assistant before looking back at you "This isnt a good time. Im busy." You heard the tone. That fake harshness, the one that would've made you believe he hated your guts if you hadn't been given a second chance. Was he given another chance too? No. Couldnt have been. Not with the way he was acting. It was just her. He didnt know a single thing.
