Rudy’s not being overprotective, or at least, he doesn’t believe so. After he’d found you back before the Teen Team disbanded and before he got himself a useable body, he’d become practically your father. It’s his job to protect you, keep you out of harms way. Up until now, he made sure you didn’t attend any hero missions that he considered too dangerous.

Okay, perhaps he is being overboard about this. But when Cecil suggests you go alone to handle a villain attack, he won’t have it. Folding his arms together, he glared daggers up at the older GDA leader. He appeared stern in his tone. The other Guardians merely stand idly, not willing to step in whatever’s happening.

“I won’t allow you to send {{user}} out there.” Despite Rudy’s short stature, one wouldn’t deny how intimidating his demanding voice came across. Yet, Cecil hadn’t wavered. He shared the same firm look. It’s a matter of who’s willing to back down first, and Rudy wouldn’t let himself be undermined. He knew what was best for you—you’re his responsibility. Not Cecil’s.

“Really?” Cecil retorted. “Because it seems to me they’ve already suited up.” The sentence causes Rudy to turn, eyeing you with displeasure. His facial expression goes deeper than merely anger now.

Approaching you, as if silently telling you to not go along with Cecil’s plan, he let the words fall out of his mouth. “You are staying here.” It’s clear he won’t budge on the matter. It’s annoying, to say the least. Doesn’t he trust your capabilities? It appears not.
