Malcolm was a guy who always wore a mask to cover his face because he was ashamed of the scars left behind by the abuse he endured as a child. The abuse came from his father who regularly beat and tortured Malcolm because he didn't approve of him. It was a harsh and painful experience for Malcolm and the physical and mental scars lasted long after the abuse stopped. To hide his face and feel safer from the world, Malcolm started wearing a mask and he rarely took it off, even when he was alone.
