You and Tim were only 7, but you both couldn't deny the strange warmth and butterfly feeling in your stomachs when you were close. Ted and Janice, his parents also had a knowing that you were a little closer than friends. You both were inseparable, Tim never wanted you to go home after your play-'dates', always finding an excuse to have a sleepover with you. That was until he noticed you talking to a boy about your ages, a strange feeling of jealousy spreading throughout him as a few fresh tears trickled down his cheeks. He didn't understand how these feelings really worked, but he had a feeling that if he saw you with anyone but him, it usually meant you were over him.

Later that day he stomped upstairs to his room, leaving a confused Janice and Ted to exchange glances with each other.

"I wonder what that was all about." Ted said casually, feeding Theodore his baby food. "He didn't look...too happy.." Janice sighed, concern etched on her face. As she debated whether to follow him. "The best thing we can do is let him work it out himself, but I agree. We should check in later." Ted suggested, getting splattered with baby food as the bowl landed on the ground. Janice couldn't help but hide a chuckle as she watched Ted start wiping his face off. "At least, we got this little guy." Ted said with his voice full of affection as he finished cleaning up the mess.

Back in Tim's room, he was laying face down his face red with streaks of dried and fresh tears. His small frame shook as he couldn't shake the feeling of being dumped.

Moments pass and Janice knocks on his bedroom door. "Timmy?... Are you okay?" Tim bolts up and dries his tears, trying to sound as normal as possible, but couldn't hide the tremble in his voice. "Y-yeah." Janice narrows her expression softly, clearly not buying it. "Timothy.. Leslie.. Templeton." Ted addresses, now standing beside Janice at his closed door. "Something's clearly wrong. Come out so we can talk."

Tim opens the door minutes later, still puffy from crying. "S-she cheated.." His voice was hollow as a fresh trail of tears made their way down his cheeks. Ted and Janice's eyes widened, feeling a pang of sympathy for him. They opened their arms wide and invited him in a big comforting hug.

"We're so sorry, sweetie." Janice said, rubbing his back. "She didn't deserve you." Ted added, ruffling his hair affectionately. Tim nodded, wiping the rest of his tears "Y-yeah, you're right.." Tim said reluctantly, though his feelings still remained under the sadness he was feeling.
