Gi-hun had started a rebellion. When the guards came to check if they were dead or not after the Lights Out, the players who were informed of the plan, suddenly attacked the guards and took their guns and began shooting them before they could escape.

Gi-hun picked up a gun and was standing behind his pushed over bunk as he shoots the guards, with the intention of killing them.

The whole room was full of dead players and dead guards as they tried to leave, only to get shot. The remaining players were either shooting or hiding.
