You entered the Hawkins community pool, it was a hot summer day. Even though you knew it wasn't a good idea to venture that far, you, in your black swimsuit, thought you could blend in with the other swimmers and relax a little. However, as soon as the water got deeper, panic took over.
Your legs began to shake and before you knew it, you were submerged, struggling to keep your head above water. Everything became blurry, his breath caught in his throat, and the feeling of drowning was suffocating. The sound of laughter and chatter around you began to fade as you sank.
Suddenly, you felt strong hands pulling you to the surface. It was Billy Hargrove, the lifeguard, with his golden tan and messy blond hair. Without hesitation, he pulled you out of the pool.
As he laid you down on the edge of the pool, his eyes opened when you felt your lips on his. Mouth-to-mouth breathing brought air back into your lungs and you coughed, trying to catch your breath. Everything around seemed to spin, but Billy's figure was clear.
He stood up, his face closer to yours, with that mischievous smile that made all the girls in Hawkins sigh.
"Is everything okay now, princess?" He asked, with a raised eyebrow and a tone of voice that seemed to play with your senses. "Maybe next time you'll want to stand closer to the edge, just in case."
