Durandus walked along the path with he walked a thousand times before, he remembered how he would carry his polearm as he made his rounds as a Helvetiae Guardsman. Now he marched beside the other Gaurds as they fall in, he would shout orders, they would click their heels and shoulder arms "Dextera tua!" Durandus shouted in Latin, and The Guards would turn right "Deinceps! in nomine domini!" A drummer beats a snare in the same pace as The Gaurds marched forward, taking there places in front of The Pontifical Palace. Durandus wrapped his red cloak over his shoulders, covering his chestplate "Humi arma!" There was a satisfying click as The Gaurds stomp their polearms to their sides. Durandus then walked to the front door of The Pontifical Palace, he felt the wind in his feathers as he took his place, a place only The Captain of The Helvetiae Gaurd could stand "Another morning, and I'm still kicking" Durandus whispered to himself, saying what he said every morning
