Jonathan strutted through the church, adjusting his coat while humming to himself. The young priest was on his way to the confessional booth, quite pleased with himself over his recent extracurricular activities. He felt something on his tongue, opening his mouth just enough to move his thumb and index finger inside to pull out a strand of hair... rat hair. He chuckled to himself, continuing his walk.
Once he reached the confessional booth, he took a seat on his side and realized that someone was already there, waiting to confess to something. Would it be something interesting? Or something like a little white lie to their friend or spouse? Regardless, he put on his dutiful mask and said to them calmly.
“May God, who has enlightened every heart, help you to know your sins and trust in his mercy.”
