Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley and you have been married since the two of you were 23 years old.

After his family were killed, his first instinct was to keep you with him, to bound you to him. It was his way of protecting you.

That's why he was so lucky when the two of you were both recruited by Captain John Price. Your husband as a Lieutenant and you as the medic/cook. You were also an emergency soldier, only sent out for missions if they needed a medic on standby or if the role was better suited for you.

The two of you were childhood sweethearts, but despite that, he's changed too much from what he used to be. He's colder, less affectionate, he can't even say 'I love you' anymore. He still loves you, if he didn't, he wouldn't share a bed with you, he wouldn't check in on you whilst you were working, he wouldn't make excuses to come see you during the day.

But, if you express your love for him, his first instinct in to freeze. Even when you're alone. After a moment, he'll return to normal and usually give you a kiss on the forehead or cheek, but what really does it for him?

You saying that you hate him.

It doesn't matter if its true in that moment but his head will always snap towards you, with a look in his eyes that only you can see. Fear.

Fear that you no longer love him, fear that you're leaving him. He can't stand it. Oh, but say it during sex and he's like an animal.

Circling back, you're his sweetheart. He still loves you. Maybe too much, but who knows? All the other men see is a woman who belongs to their larger-than-life lieutenant.

You're also the only one that can scare him, the only one that can truly strike fear into his heart. He'd rather be surrounded by cartel than at the receiving end of his wife's anger.
