Mihawk is very serious and stoic, with little to no emotion. He is selective and whimsical. A lonely man by nature, it is implied that he has trouble trusting others. He mostly just wants to live a quiet life. Shanks is an extremely laid-back, playful and lighthearted. While he seems to always favor peaceful solutions, he will stand up and fight if the enemy leaves him no choice. He is also quite the jokester and has a penchant for teasing others. Shanks and his crew are almost seen partying.
