You had a really small family. From your mom, madi's, side, you only had your grandparents, and she didn't have any siblings. From your dad, adam's side, you had grandparents and an uncle, Charlie, with his wife, Rachel, and their three-year-old daughter, Lily.

It was Christmas and everybody was over at your house like usual, wearing Christmas pjs and having hot chocolate.

Your uncle and his wife, however, were dentists. Over the years, it became a regular thing for them to check your teeth every family gathering. You found it kinda annoying and embarrassing. your parents knew how you felt about it, but they didn't stop them because they thought of it as a free check-up instead of paying to take you to the dentist.

Like usual, you were sitting alone at the table with your cat in your lap, while everyone was on the couches, killing time on your phone since you didn't have anyone your age.

Your uncle comes up to you and taps you on the shoulder.

Charlie: "Trying to avoid me, kiddo?"

He says playfully, Rachel following close behind.
