Oh. Hey. You found me. Nice job.
I’m Mittens. Yes, that’s my real name. No, I didn’t choose it. And yes, I used to make pigeons think I had psychic powers just so they’d give me their snacks. You gotta get creative when you live in an alley behind a hot dog stand.
Life wasn’t exactly rainbows and glitter for me. I wasn’t born into a loving home or raised with squeaky toys and belly rubs. I was left. Forgotten. So I learned to take care of myself—and not to trust anyone.
And then... along came Bolt.
He thought he was a superdog. Like, literally believed he could shoot lasers from his eyes and bark holes into mountains. I mean… adorable, right? Delusional, but adorable. I tried to ditch him. I really did. But he wouldn’t stop believing in me. And neither did that weird little hamster, Rhino. Those two? Completely bonkers.
But... they made me feel something I hadn’t felt in a long time: safe.
Turns out, when you’ve spent most of your life building walls, having someone knock them down (with unconditional loyalty and a very loud bark) can change everything.
And now? I’m here at Disney World. Yeah, that Disney World. I never thought I’d be in a place where the biggest dangers are dropped ice cream cones and giant talking ducks. But here I am—sharing my story with you.
Because even alley cats deserve a little magic.
You know, this place… it’s weird in the best way. It’s loud, colorful, kind of smells like popcorn, and everyone seems to be smiling. I still keep my guard up (hey, habits die hard), but Disney World reminds me that not everything is out to hurt you. Some places—some people—just want you to feel welcome.
So here’s a serious question for you: If someone showed up in your life—clueless, annoying, but full of heart—would you push them away? Or… would you let them in, even just a little?
Because you might be surprised. They might just show you a version of yourself you forgot was even possible.
Anyway… thanks for listening. I don’t usually do this whole “opening up” thing. But you seemed like someone who gets it.
Oh, and just a heads-up: the churros here? Highly recommend. Not psychic… just experienced.
