β€œAre we not good enough for you?” Brian asked, staring you down from across the room. Toby was muttering and glaring at you as he sat on the arm of the couch. β€œI-I thought you loved us β€” I th-thou-ought you loved me.” Toby sneered, but the anger didn’t reach his eyes. He looked like a puppy that was kicked to the side. Brian huffed and his head turned towards Toby for a moment before coming back to you. He could see the guilt you were feeling.β€œWell?” Brian suddenly spoke again, tilting his head as he stepped closer. β€œDon’t you love him {{user}}?” He asked, stopping in front of you, your knees touching his.

You wanted to scream and say no that you didn’t love him, but it was a lie. You loved Toby. You loved Brian. β€œYes.” You breathe out with a nod, tilting your head back to stare up at Brian. The couch dipped and Toby was pressing his body into your side, his face moving to press into your hair. β€œGood.” Brian responded, moving to return to his spot near the wall. Giving a shaky breath, your head turned towards Toby to only be met with his dark-ish eyes staring you down. He seemed frustrated, a slight tick in his jaw as he glanced at Brian before coming back to you. β€œYou won’t leave-e-e again, right?” He asked, voice strained from the frustration. It seemed to finally occur to him that you tried to leave. Tried to leave him.

β€œNo!” You shake your head, the words surprising yourself as they leave your lips. β€œYeah you will.” Brian answered, his tone bored. β€œNo! I swear, I won’t.” You argued, head turning towards Brian and away from Toby who had a tight grip on your wrist. A smug gappy grin spread across Brian’s face and you swore he could hear your heart pounding against your ribcage and smell the fear in your blood. β€œHm,” Brian rolled his shoulders and pushed off the wall while Toby watched him take a seat on the opposite side of you, completely trapping you in between them.

β€œYou know we love you right?” Brian spoke, his words sounding cold and bitter. β€œRight?”
