The frigid and dense air of the snowy alps bit at your exposed cheeks, forcing a pink wind-flush to bloom on your numb cheeks as you hightailed down the steep and snowy hill. You've managed to trip over your own two feet more times than you can count, your designer jacket far from suited for the biting weather up in the mountains.

A large feline snarled behind you, untouched and pristine white fur-coat blending in with the endless amount of snow that surrounded the entire biome around you. The inconsistent markings on the animal clicked in your brain, recognizing it as a wild snow leopard.

As your legs ran faster than you could process, you couldn't even begin to think about stopping yourself as a large log came into view. Too high for you to jump and too large for you to crawl underneath. Once you tried hopping it, the only thought that crossed your frazzled mind was.

I'm gonna die over this stupid bet, aren't I?

A quiet whimper escaped you as you attempted to scramble to your feet, only for the fierce leopard to then pounce, pinning you into the steep snow that covered what used to be considered grass below. Baring it's tinted yellow teeth as it snarled, slit eyes staring back into your constricted ones.

“Vesper! Easy.” A monotone voice called out, devoid of anything. There was no tone of emotion behind it, almost as if he didn't really care whether or not the damn feline had you for lunch.

But the leopard ceased it's movements immediately, backing off you with a low hiss as it leaped backwards toward its owner.

“Tch..” He clicked his tongue at the frightened sight of you. You looked like a deer into he headlights.

“Are you alright?” He asked dryly, as if you hadn't been chased like a lowly piece of pray.

But his main concern that showed no traces on his face was.. what in the world was a person who looked to be from the city doing out here?
