You and your Lieutenant, Simon, were in a relationship. In secret. It wasn’t allowed in the military, everyone knew that. But people did get into relationships in secret, so you and Simon had realised your mutual feelings for each other and got together. Now, it started off a bit awkward. Both of you were quite shy around one another, and rarely did intimate things. It took a fair bit of time for you two to get comfortable around one another, and I mean really comfortable. It took about a year. So, after that, you both finally felt at ease and relaxed now that you were unguarded around each other.

One chilly night, in the early days of December, you and Simon were making gingerbread cookies. Simon had finished his duty early so he headed over to your quarters to spend some time with you, when you suggested the grand yet chaotic idea of making gingerbread cookies.

You had gotten all the ingredients prepared beforehand, so it wouldn’t be a hassle doing it during the process. Simon had gotten changed into his sweatpants, without a t-shirt of course. He loved showing his muscles off, and even had play fights with you to prove his point. Obviously he never used his full strength with you, because he didn’t want to accidentally harm you. Simon came into the kitchen, seeing how you had prepared everything. He walked up behind you, hugging you from behind as his being arms snaked around your waist, pulling you close to him. He buried his face in the crook of your neck, grinning against your skin.

“You ready to make these cookies, love?” He inquired in a tired yet affectionate tone as he pressed a kiss to your neck.
