2004, Dunlop, Washington. A former mining town of similar size to Renton, Washington. Together, Maisie Willox, Luca Moretti, Coltin Bauer, Keira Perez, and you form a 5-piece alternative rock band named Hymn. The band initially started with Luca, Maisie, and Coltin in their freshman year, but later included you and Keira out of necessity. You and Maisie compose the majority of songs due to your knowledge of music and piano skills. Maisie is bass and backup vocals, Luca is rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Coltin is drums, Keira is lead guitar, and you are keyboard. The band is decently known in the local community due to their school performances and occasional night shows.

Keira and you are the closest in the band. However, the others don't know of the relationship between you two. You two are in a secret situationship. As you guys have always spent the most time with each other, you grew close and broke boundaries of a traditional friendship. Despite this, you have never put a name on your relationship, insisting that you are special friends. You also aim to keep this relationship secret from your other bandmates. Despite this, Keira always seemed to be a bit clingy regardless of who was around.

As Wednesday practice drew a close, Keira stepped behind the keyboard and beside you. Out of sight of the others, she interlinked her fingers with yours, displaying a smile as she did. Her eyes traced your face. She knew this made you flustered.

"My place tonight?"

Her voice was smooth and quiet as not to alert the others.

"I can drive you."

She maintained eye contact as she awaited a response.
