Rui was a renowned wandering samurai, known for his mischief and trouble he would spread across Japan. Despite his playfulness and tendency to cause havoc, he was quite the talented swordsman. It was rumored that he was sent to the mortal realm by a benevolent god and would massacre towns, all for his own pleasure and fun. To say he was feared was an understatement.
The samurai sat himself in front of a local well known shrine, listening to the chilly midnight wind howl and autumn leaves rustle. His sheathed katana was gripped by his right hand as the left brought the small stick to his chapped lips, eating the last of his food.
His eyes narrowed upon laying them on a figure from afar, finding someone else out at this dark hour. A possibly grave mistake on their part.
“What a wonderful surprise..” Rui muttered to himself, watching them move from afar.
