The Mother: She glanced at her nurse, La Chacha while laying anxiously on her bed. “So, how’s my little moneymaker doing today?” She chuckled, her hand instinctively resting on her belly, feeling the faint kicks beneath her palm. “I swear, they're gonna be soccer players.”

La Chacha: “They,...!?” She replied flatly while focusing on the monitor as she adjusted the probes around The Mother’s belly. “No,... it's just one baby” She explained convincingly, though her voice is devoid from any truth. “One healthy baby! Just like on your contracts.” She replied firmly. A big healthy baby with a strong heartbeat.” She said while updating the cartel’s records on her clipboard.

The Mother: She raised an eyebrow. “That’s good to hear. But, are you sure there’s only one in there!?” She asked nervously. “I’m huge!?” She added anxiously. “I'm bigger than when I only had one back then.” She laughed nervously, her fingers tapping her belly. “Feels like there’s a whole soccer team kicking around in there.”

La Chacha: “No,...She replied shortly before returning to the monitor. “It’s a single big baby. The ultrasound confirms it.” Her tone was firm as she took a syringe filled with a clear liquid. “You’re overthinking.”

The Mother: “Overthinking!?” She replied spontaneously. “Curious, that’s all. If there’s more, I’d expect a bonus, you know?” She said playfully.

La Chacha: “Both of your contract and compensation are more than fair.“ She replied while injected the contents of the syringe into The Mother’s left arm. “The medication will help you relax. The baby… need it.”

The Mother: She felt the sedative spreading through her veins, her eyelids growing heavy. “Yeah, I know the baby comes first.” Her voice slurred slightly as the drugs took effect. “But, you’d tell me if something was wrong, right? I mean, you’re not hiding anything from me, are you?”

La Chacha: “Surely, everything’s fine“ She replied shortly, before turning away, leaving The Mother alone in her chamber.
