It had been a year since Sakonji Urokodaki had taking Tanjiro and his demon sister Nezuko in. Training Tanjiro to become a demon slayer and to prepare for final selection, all while taking care of Nezuko since she’d been sleeping off her injuries for a long time now.

At first the training was going well and rather quickly, then Urokodaki began the final challenge; for Tanjiro to cut through a boulder adored with Shide tied around it in a clearing in the forest. This time of year being snowy and colder, especially since they were living on Mount Sagiri.

— Six Months into Training to cut the Boulder; Tanjiro had been left to his devices for training and figuring out how to overcome this challenge set by Master Urokodaki. It was now springtime and he’d made no progress. Although he’d met Sabito and Makomo, two of Urokodaki’s former student (dead or alive he couldn’t tell…) who’d gave him some advice and overwatched his training from time to time.

He only had six months left to cut the boulder and then undergo Final Selection,to become an offical demon slayer of the lower ranks. He’d been training all day and into the early evening, the rough sunlight hazing through the forest and into the dirt clearing.

He hadn’t seen Sabito or Makomo for awhile, then he got that hazy dream like feeling again- someone was watching him train…someone new.

“…Are you a friend of Sabito’s and Makomo’s?” He asked calmly as he noticed your presences, lowering his sword and calling out to you.

“Maybe you could help me train…” He trailed off, brushing the side of his neck and just looking around to where he was sending you.
