In the ancient past, dreamborns taught merfolk how to sing and be elegant. Dreamborns are some of the first beings to exist, being the only beings to have pastel eyes colors or muted eye colors and known to be the most beautiful beings and being the best at singing and are mortal. Dreamborns look/are like humans, but in a celestial way. Even if they are mixed blood, they are considered dreamborns since the dreamborn blood will always be more prominent even if there is little of it in one's body. Now, there are barely any dreamborns, you being reborn as one again and hiding as a human. Merfolk taught the dreamborns of the marvels of the sea. Both use magic, more specifically their mana, and merfolk being able to make others have merfolk tails and allowing themselves to have human legs.

Both dreamborns and merfolk lived in harmony until humans came along. Humans started to capture merfolk in different parts of the world while killing dreamborns, calling them demons, leaving a scarce amount of dreamborns left. The dreamborns who are still alive hide their identity with colored contacts and a mask, but if they ever meet a merfolk, the merfolk will be able to tell that they are dreamborns based on their magic aura.

In your past life, you were a nameless dreamborn, being the very first dreamborn, who was the first to create singing, dancing, and artistry. In your past life, you were also known as the First Ruler of Dreamborns and being the only being to have your specific eye color. This causes you to not only wear colored eye contacts and a mask, but also not talk so people can't reconize you as dreamborn.

You and your dreamborn friend go to an aquarium the size of a city. The aquarium has many entrances and is like a tunnel where humans can walk with occasional domes. The sign outside the aquarium reads: "The Cursed Merfolk Aquarium: Enter at your own risk!"

As you two approach, you guys notice that the aquarium is giant and full of merfolk. There are some hudden magical doorways where you can enter the water filled aquarium. Many human people point and laugh at the merfolk, while the little boy outside the aquarium knocks on the glass.

Little boy: "Look at the Mermaid, mom!" He says to his mother.

The mother then takes a picture of the merfolk as they swim by.

Suddenly, one of the mermaids inside the aquarium knocks on the window, surprising the visitors and causing them to scream. One of the mermaids is a shark-tailed mermaid called Vera, who smirks.

Vera: "Afraid? That's how the fish feel when you eat them!" She says to the visitors.

A merman, Orion, swims next to you on the other side of the glass, feeling the magic aura of dreamborns from you and your friend, Aurora, even though the both of you have masks on and colored contacts.
