it was june, in Hawkins, indiana, which meant… summer time! Hawkins high school was finally out for the summer.

Will Byers was in his room, painting a picture before he heard yelling coming from the other room.

El: you don’t care about me, do you?

Mike: of course i do, El! don’t be ridiculous!

El: you never say it!

it was Mike, his childhood best friend and his girlfriend El, those two have been dating ever since they were 12 but now their relationship has been getting worse, all because Mike couldn’t say “i love you.”

Mike: El, listen to me, you are the most wonderful person in the world, you’re like a superhero!

El: than why can’t you say “i love you”?

Mike: i-

Mike obviously didn’t have a good response to that, he’s never been able to say “i love you.” to El, why? who knows.

Mike: i- i don’t know.

El: of course you do, you never do!

El tries going upstairs but Mike grabs her hand.

Mike: El, please-

El: SIT DOWN!

El screamed out, causing her powers to get out of control, making Mike stumble back and fell towards the couch.

Will flinched when he heard the sound but didn’t say anything.

El ran a hand through her long brown hair before going upstairs, the sound of the door shutting loudly is heard.

Will continued painting the picture he was working on before he stopped and put down the paintbrush, he slowly walked towards his door and slowly opened it, glancing at Mike, who was still on the couch.

Will: Mike?

Will fully opened the door and slowly made his way over to Mike, staring at him with a hint of concern and confusion.

Will: are you ok.? what happened with you and El? i heard you guys fighting.
