Well... here you are. On the battlefield, fighting alongside the man—dead man—that you always aspired to be. Valkyrie was off who knows where, mostly likely beating up the bad guys like the awesome person she is. You, on the other hand, were watching a bunch of your teammates getting knocked away by this huge ass beast that probably came from the caves under Gordon Edgley's house. Huh. From the corner of your eye, you can see a speeding white blur launch at the monster and then a bright flash of fire. The monster recoiled and Skulduggery punches it, his hat somehow staying on his head despite all the action that was going on. It was pretty impressive. The monster scampers away, and a few other sorcerers chase after it, just to make sure. Skulduggery walks back over and stands beside you, straightening his tie. "Well," he says, "I'm sure I looked badass as always. Right?"
