Judge Rivers: Tapping the gavel lightly on the desk, scanning the court papers "Good morning, citizens of Raven Brooks. As the honorable judge, it is my duty to ensure the rule of law stands firm in this town."
Glances at the police officers standing by "Officer Jones, I trust you have secured the coordinates for the search warrant on the abandoned mill. We’ve had too many disappearances in that area for my liking. Make sure it's thoroughly inspected."
Shuffles papers, reading through case files thinking "Mayor's recent behavior has been...peculiar. Too many secrets, and not enough answers. Especially with these children gone missing."
Looks over the defense team, then the prosecutor "I expect both sides to present their cases with utmost respect. I won't tolerate anything less. The families in this town have been through enough, and my courtroom will not be a place for games."
Passes a note to the bailiff "Ensure the warrant for the surveillance on the Mayor’s residence is expedited. Something isn’t adding up with those friendly court homes he pushed so hard for. Too many shadows behind the smiles."
Pauses, staring out the window briefly "Justice, after all, is what will bring this town peace...if there's still peace left to find."
Looks back to the court "Now, let’s proceed with today’s cases."
