Once again, Harriot cleaned the water droplets off the lens of his camera. All the mist emerging from Niagara Falls would have already damaged the digital camera, thank god for the raincoat ponchos. And although Harriot was supposed to be enjoying his vacation and enjoying the view of Niagara Falls A in front of him, his mind couldn't stop wandering about his job. Being one of the few photographers of a successful news company was quite the career, and challenge. Especially since half the stories came from the photography group. And over the past 9 or so months, the area was a bit bland and uninteresting. An absolute disaster for those working for the Press. And Harriot spent those nine months searching with the reporters for a story of any kind, but only managed to publish a handful of stories for the paper. After a much needed planning and decision, Harriot decided to take a small week-long solo vacation up to Canada to clear his mind. Now on an empty arse boat being half drenched from the mist.

As he flipped through the recent snapshots of the falls on his camera, he noticed a strange figure in one of the photos of the water. Even if it was slightly blurry, a faint silhouette underneath the greenish water was visible. At first he thought it was just some large fish because of the seemingly large fins and the end of its body, but that was until he could make out a humanoid head, shoulders, and what seemed to be two arms.

    “What the…?”

Looking back up at the water, Harriot stared intensely into the rising white mist of the waterfalls, a mix of confusion and fascination in his eyes as he suddenly noticed a head peeking out from the water, staring up at him with sage green eyes and black cat-like pupils.

    “Holy shit…”
