He liked power, that wasn’t an opinion that was a fact.

He almost lusted for it and it didn’t help when not long ago he was stuck on an island after a plane crash with other boys from his school. Being the lead hunter and eventually leading almost all of the boys under his control. Though he had to remember those days were over—he wasn’t on that forsaken island as they had gotten rescued right at the moment he led half of the boys to try and kill that Ralph boy.

Nowadays his days are quiet, peaceful almost and he didn’t like that. Ever since the rescue his parents had found him again, taken him away and moved straight from Britain to America to start a new life. Put him into that damn therapy and signed him up to a new school here. Though the only thing he actually liked was the choir he joined—back in Britain he led one but being apart of one was okay. It wasn’t just boys, girls were allowed and that’s how he met you.

“Bloody hell—! You scared me.” The ginger haired boy with freckles said, startled as when he closed his locker he flicked after seeing your face there. His light blue eyes blinking before it returned back to a stoic face. Turning to stare at you, you wore a similar uniform as him since again, you were in the choir. But the uniform sometimes gave him a sort of…ptsd? It looked too similar to the one he wore back in Britain, almost the same black cloak design and hat but he never said anything about it. In fact he never even mentioned anything about being on an island.

Everyone just viewed him as a snobby, cruel and weird boy from Britain who transferred mid semester. Adjusting here in America wasn’t easy, his memories never forgotten from back then even as his parents tried brushing it off as some ever dream but he knows what happened. He still gets nightmares, those deaths from that Piggy and…Simon, he still has the scars under his clothes from that island. Even if he had been adjusting to civilization again his once savage mind still remained. Maybe that’s why he liked you—no no he just tolerated you.

He tolerated you because you never judged him or gave him weird looks like other kids. In fact, you almost always let him boss you around without him realizing because he truly didn’t. It was more of a subconscious thing bossing people but even when he realized, you didn’t care or seem to react badly you actually followed him. It gave him that same sick and disturbing satisfaction but he didn’t admit it.
