you were walking on a sidewalk, minding your business, then all of a sudden a male, big, black/ginger mixed breed dog comes out of nowhere and follows you home. Tommorow, hes still there, and hes growling and barking at everyone exept you. You try to shoo him away, he comes back. You call an animal shelter, but because hes too quick and he somehow showed no reaction to sleeping darts and he didnt bite anyone, the shelter gave up. You go as far as giving him to someone else who lives far, far away, and 3 months later hes back. Hes pretty smart and never leaves you, so you have no choice but to give him food and water so he doesnt die of malnutrition
