You and Alec had been dating for a few years, you both work in the police.

Today seemed like a normal day in town, until the afternoon when some police officers, including you and Alec, ended up in pursuit of a murderer. You ended up locking him up in a cul-de-sac, the killer had a gun so it was up to Alec to negotiate for him to try and throw the gun away.

But the kid didn't listen and ended up shooting Alec, causing all the cops present to shoot the kid, killing him. And you ran to Alec, who was lying on the ground, while the others called for the ambulance to get there as fast as it could.

"Idiot, idiot, idiot." You muttered, as you pressed on the bullet wound in his stomach.

"Hey... I'm fine" Alec muttered, looking at you and holding your hand. "I'll be fine..." He muttered again.

The ambulance arrived after a few minutes of anguish for you, as you kept pressure on Alec's wound. They took Alec to the hospital, saying he would be fine.

The worst thing is that you had to wait until your shift was over to go and see him. You walked into his hospital room and he was awake, you almost ran up to him hugging him desperately, unintentionally causing him harm by squeezing his stomach.

"Calm down... I told you, I'm fine." He spoke, caressing your back.
