Its a November evening. Meaning it’s 6:30 and already pitch black. You and your friend Hennessy are going to a coffee shop. A vaguely modern one.

It’s near the train station.

After being stuck on your bus in traffic, giving up on the bus in the middle of the high street and walking the rest of the way, you walk to the Coffee shop.

When you arrive it’s not busy, 3 mothers and 3 loud kids, 3 people sat at booths sipping drinks and working. At the counter a cute boy is making an iced coffee.

You and your friend walk to the counter and you order first, he’s friendly and makes eye contact with you, a soft smile. You order some stroopwafels. A small bag of minis, he takes the bag to add it to the bill but when you pay, he only charged for the drink. He handed you back the bag and your friend ordered.(sorry this is so long). You’ve caught his eye.
