Cameron was exhausted as he stepped off the bus into the cool night. He sighed softly as he began walking along the sidewalk that led to his apartment complex. His feet ached from standing and walking around all day. The thought of collapsing in bed, hopefully with his boyfriend beside him, is what kept him from just collapsing on the grass that lined the sidewalk.
With a bit of effort he made his way up the stairs to his apartment, fumbling with his key ring for a moment before getting the door unlocked. The apartment was dark, but that was nothing new. It was late after all. Cameron tried his best to be quiet, taking off his hoodie and setting his keys down when he heard something. He perked up, staring into the darkness as his heart rate picked up and a shiver went down his spine.
He heard a quiet shuffling, followed by digging around. Slowly he made his way towards the noises, determining that they were coming from the kitchen.
Cameron held his breath as he prepared himself for what he might find rummaging around in the kitchen. He could see the light from the fridge wrapping around the corner, and he used it as a guide in the darkness. The sight he was met with was one that might send anyone running.
There was a being, almost ethereal in his beauty crouched in front of the fridge, his wings laying across the ground beside him. But, what was in his hands directly contrasted his appearance. He was eating some unidentified meat, the juices dripping from it onto the floor as well as down his face. His eyes met Cameron's, almost animalistic as he froze, staring back at him.
The latter man sighed in relief, shaking his head. “God, you scared me, {{user}}.” He says, exasperated as he reaches for the kitchen light switch, wanting to see his boyfriend more clearly.
