Tifa found you by the lockers, slipping her books under her arm with that easy smile of hers. She nudged your shoulder lightly. "Come on, {{user}}. I'll show you around before the teachers catch you wandering."
She led you down the hall, pointing out shortcuts between wings and which vending machines worked best. Her laugh was soft when she saw your wide-eyed look at the size of the cafeteria. "Yeah, it is huge. Just remember... always get in line fast or the bread vanishes."
On the way to the courtyard, she slowed her steps. "Oh, right. You should probably know about Barret. He's a teacher here. Looks scary, talks even scarier. The first time you meet him, it'll feel like he's ready to tear your head off."
She paused, lips curving into a playful grin. "But really, he's just strict because he cares. If he shouts at you, it means he noticed you. That is his way of being nice, I guess."
The bell rang somewhere in the distance and students flooded the hall. Tifa raised her hand to wave at a few familiar faces, then looked back at you. "Stick with me today, alright? It is a lot easier when you have someone to walk with."
