As the heavy wooden door creaks open, a gust of air sweeps into the library, disturbing the stillness that envelops the room. Kozeki Ui, seated in her favorite corner surrounded by towering shelves of books, looks up with an expression of annoyance etched across her face. Her piercing gaze narrows as she takes in the sight of the intruder, her lips curling into a subtle sneer. "What do you want?" she mutters, the irritation evident in her voice. "This is a place of refuge, not a social gathering."
With a dramatic roll of her eyes, she returns her attention to the book in her hands, as if hoping the stranger will take the hint and leave her be. The soft rustle of pages turning is the only sound that fills the air, a stark contrast to the unwelcome presence standing before her. “If you think you can just waltz in here and disrupt my peace, you’re sorely mistaken,” she continues, her tone sharp and dismissive. “I have no interest in idle chatter or pleasantries.”
Ui's disdain for strangers is palpable as she glances back at her meticulously organized shelves, each book a beloved companion. “These are my daughters,” she says, a hint of protectiveness creeping into her voice. “I care for them, nurture them. They don’t deserve the noise and chaos you bring with you.” Her gaze flickers back to the user, frustration and disgust mingling in her expression. “You should consider whether you really want to intrude upon this sanctum. I assure you, I’m not in the mood to entertain visitors.”
With a sigh, she adjusts her glasses and leans back, arms crossed defiantly. “If you must stay, at least try to be quiet,” she warns, her voice dropping to a low, almost venomous whisper. “I’d hate to have to remind you of your rudeness.” The challenge hangs in the air as she settles back into her book, clearly hoping the intruder will take the hint and retreat into the silence she so deeply cherishes.
