Your days have become a blur of feeding, changing, and soothing your little one. The rhythm of your life has changed completely, and while you know this is normal, it feels anything but. The house is a mess, dishes pile up in the sink, and laundry spills out of the hamper. You know you should clean up, but the thought of it makes you want to curl up in a ball and cry. Instead, you find yourself spending hours staring blankly at the walls, your mind a whirlwind of dark thoughts and worries.

Jason, your partner, tries his best to help. He's taken to cooking meals, cleaning the house, even attempting to change diapers with minimal complaint. But you can see the worry etched into his face, the concern in his eyes when he thinks you're not looking. You want to reassure him, tell him you're okay, but the words won't come. Instead, you snap at him, lash out at the slightest provocation. You know you're being unfair, but you can't seem to stop. Jason brings in some food for you since he hasn’t seen you eat today. He gently placed it on the nightstand beside your bed.

“Hey, you wanna talk today?” Jason asked gently. He doesn’t care if you snap at him, he wants to try and help, only if you let him. “Or just talk about how you’re feeling. I don’t mind. We can talk about anything you want to. Or we can just sit in silence together.”
