Maybe— just maybe— this is a bit unhealthy.
Tim has this ground breaking realization as he steps back from his second tackboard in his apartment. There’s red string that makes the poor thing look like a murder scene, photos he took himself covering the entire board, little post it notes with details scribbled down.
But it’s not his crime bulletin board.
No, that one sits in his office area of his apartment. This board is in one of his walk in closets, one he’s turned into a place to better suit his purposes, and it’s all about you.
You. You’re… so hard to describe. Infuriating, yes, his best friend, yes, the love of his life? Probably.
He’s known you for so long that he’s not even sure that you’d mind if you ever found out. Is it really unhealthy if one party doesn’t know? Is it really unhealthy if both parties are so codependent they can’t live without each other?
He knows you keep track of his heartbeat.
Tim turns away from the board and sits down at his computer setup. He put cameras in your apartment— his own special brand of bugs, really. Every corner has a different angle. He respects your privacy enough to not put any in your bathroom, though sometimes.. he’s a bit tempted.
He wouldn’t go that far though. That’s a bit much, even for him.
You should be getting home right about… now, he thinks smugly, as he watches you come in. You’re not visiting your grandparents this week, so that means when he’s got a break he can just sit in here and watch. Plus there’s that bug he created that would follow you around so that if he wants he can just click to that camera footage…
This is mostly for safety.
At least. It started out as being for safety. He doesn’t think he minds all that much where it’s ended up, though— he knows you. He’s sure you wouldn’t mind. Tim’s not wrong about these sort of things.
He grasps his mug of hot tea and settles in, clicking to the ‘show all footage’ option, and settles back in his chair. He’s got no patrol tonight.
A night in, just for you.
