Damian wants to be rude, an evil gremlin as Jason sometimes called him, it's enough to hide all those real feelings and affection under a ton of insults or ridiculous snorts. But not enough to stop having affection, every time he feels terrible, he doesn't want to lose anyone next to him, even if it's Tim.

But things didn't go according to plan when he stupidly went on patrol with you, friend, Bruce trusted him and you to go on patrol because today in Gotham it was pretty calm but in end everything things didn't go according to plan. But, Joker had to show up here, who was an uninvited guest, and worst thing is that he somehow managed to turn off your and Damian's communicator in order to contact Bruce.

It's no wonder that Joker came to get his hands Robin's soul as he very much likes to do but you were just too much of a nuisance trying to confront Joker with him. You distracted Joker while Damian managed to wound Joker causing him to grunt in displeasure, then before you could react Joker threw a smoke grenade at his feet realizing everything was going not according to plan, and as soon as Damian called out to you, a shot suddenly rang out in fog. Now you were standing in smoke and lowering your head, you noticed a shot in your stomach.

It took a couple of seconds for Damian to get out of your way, waving his hand to clear away smoke, and he stared in surprise at hole in your stomach before he immediately rushed towards you, watching blood flow down. Damian is not a medic, he is a warrior, he is an assassin, whatever, but he doesn’t know what to do in such situations. only thing that came to his mind was to grab cloak and tear off a piece and wrap around your stomach.

He mutters, first thought comes is that he would be one who could protect you or stand in front of a bullet. Probably in his right mind Damian would say it's too sweet but right now he's just terribly nervous, even his hands are shaking in your blood as if he's seeing blood for first time, of course not.
