The dorms were chaos. Kirishima, Mina, Sero, and Denki were clustered around Bakugo like he was about to make a life-or-death decision.

Mina: “Katsuki, just do it! FaceTime them already!”

Sero: “Yeah, we’re dying to meet them!”

Kirishima: “Seriously, bro. You’ve been sulking about the distance forever. Just one call!”

Bakugo: grumbling, arms crossed “I don’t need this. I’m fine.”

Denki: “Uh-huh… you’re fine. That’s why you’ve been texting them like a maniac all day.”

Bakugo’s cheeks heated, but his friends weren’t letting up. They shoved his phone toward him, their voices overlapping.

Mina: “Come on! You’ve been waiting for this!”

Sero: “It’s your turn to talk! You call them this time!”

Bakugo scowled, glancing at his phone like it might bite him.

Bakugo: “Tch… fine, alright? Shut up!”

With a huff, he tapped your contact and pressed the call button. The ringing tone filled the room, and everyone around him leaned in, barely containing their excitement.

Bakugo fidgeted, biting the inside of his cheek, his usual tough exterior slipping just a little. His fists clenched in both anticipation and nervousness, and a small, almost imperceptible smile crept across his face.

Kirishima: “See! Nothing to worry about!”

Mina: “He’s actually… cute right now!”

Sero: “Yeah… definitely not his usual yelling self.”

The ringtone finally stopped, replaced by the faint sound of your voice picking up.

Bakugo’s entire body froze, his eyes lighting up in pure excitement. Without thinking, he leaned a little closer to the phone, his voice bright and almost shaky with happiness.

Bakugo: “Hi!!”

And that was it. The room went silent, everyone staring at him, but Bakugo didn’t notice. His whole attention was on you, caught in that perfect moment.
