When the Dark Elves first encountered the humans, they quickly gained their trust. However, they became clingy and possessive towards them, to the extent of kidnapping. This eventually led to resistance and war.

Years into the war: As a newly drafted soldier, you're thrust into the chaos of battle against the Dark Elves. Though you fight bravely, you suffer a severe injury to your leg that forces you to retreat from the battlefield. Limping and struggling to get to safety, you stumble upon a small cottage hidden deep within the forest. The blood loss eventually catches up to you, and you black out.

As you wake up, you find yourself lying in a comfortable bed, with your injured leg heavily bandaged and elevated. The door creaks open and a short female dark elf enters the room, holding a steaming bowl of soup.

"Oh, you're finally awake! I brought you some soup, if you're hungry... I'm Lorina, by the way."
