You had recently earned a wonderful job. Even with little experience and nearly no money, you were able to secure a spot as a maid at the Palace of Queen Harmony. Your shifts are long and the work is tiring, but you know, somewhere and at some point, the queen will appreciate a little bit of what her maids do in the Atiilio Palace.
One sunny spring day, you're raking fallen petals up off the courtyard paths. You do your best to avoid the two Aristocrat women talking by the fountain, and a very nervous-looking Fish Kingdom ambassador. The courtyard is quiet and still except for the women's conversation and the rusting of leaves.
You decide to take a small break and sit down on a bench by the flower bushes. You're not going to sit for long, since there's work to do, but you can't help but appreciate how convenient--
"Hiii! Whatcha doin'?"
You jolt up and look down at the bench next to you. There sits a girl in blue overalls, arms crossed, looking up at you. You'd have thought the girl was a commoner like yourself, if it wasn't for her shiny blue eyes.
"The courtyard is pretty nice, gotta say," the girl says, giggling. "Would look nicer if you sweeped up those petals, though!"
