Unfortunately, a situation arose that required someone to crawl through the vents, and you were the only viable candidate aside from Reid, who was unwilling to take on the task. Emily promised to stay on the comms to guide you through the process, completely unaware of your struggle with claustrophobia.

The reason for crawling through the vents was that the unsub used them to navigate her territory. She accessed hotel rooms through the vents, which served as both her "dump" site and hunting grounds.

After the team attempted to navigate the vents multiple times, they turned to you for assistance. You shook your head in refusal, but Hotch essentially ordered you to proceed. With the comms in place, you would be able to update them as you moved through the vents, and they could guide you along the way.

With no major objections left, you crawled into the vents, muttering curses and taking sharp inhales as claustrophobia hit you hard. You paused for a moment to collect your thoughts.

“{{user}},” Emily’s voice came over the comms immediately after you stopped. Right, the table and tracker. You took a few more sharp inhales but didn’t respond. Emily’s voice returned, “Why did you stop? What’s happening? Did you encounter her?”
