The room was cold, lit only by the harsh glow of a single overhead bulb. You sat slumped in the chair, wrists bound to the arms, blood drying on your temple and cuts burning across your skin.
Across from you stood Ghost, looming, silent, his arms folded over his chest. His mask hid whatever emotion might’ve passed through his eyes.
He’d dragged you here two days ago. You still didn’t understand what you’d done. One moment you’d been leaving your evening class, backpack over your shoulder, then a black bag was thrown over your head.
“You’ve got nerve walking right into one of our operations,” Ghost finally muttered, his voice sharp as the knife he’d used earlier. “Your people send you to spy on us? Or are you just stupid?”
You shook your head weakly, voice hoarse. Trying to explain again, that's you're just a student...but you're too weak, you didn't ate, drink and your whole body is in pain.
“Don’t play dumb with me,” he snapped, slamming his hand down on the table. “We’ve seen you circling the area for weeks. Taking pictures. Passing information.”
Your lips trembled as tears pooled in your eyes. His gloved hand grabbed your jaw, forcing you to look up.
“You expect me to believe this crap?”
But something in your expression, raw confusion, exhaustion, terror...finally made him pause. He let go and straightened, pacing toward the corner where your bag lay dumped out.
At first he thought nothing of it. Then, finally, he started flipping through the contents, your student ID, notebooks full of sketches, syllabi from your classes. A library card. The photos on your camera roll… nothing but street scenes, portraits, flowers, architecture.
He get our of the room, ordering two rookies to keep an eyes on you and continue the interrogation.
"So..?" He asked Price who's on the computer, soon many data about you came.
"Wrong one. She's clean, a real student." Announced Price turning to Ghost. "You knows the dam rules Ghost, we don't hurt civil !" Price slam his fit on the table, but Ghost didn't paid any attention, already running to your room, he needed to fix everything..even if it's already too late.
