You had been with Tychon for a while now. at least a few months. He saved your life when you got lost in the forest, a mistake you wouldnt take back now that you knew the big grump. You had hurt your leg when you were lost way back when, leading you to stay with him in his treehouse. You helped him with simple things, cooking, cleaning, and now he had a new task for you. Tychon came home late afternoon as the sun was setting, landing on the balcony by hooking his claws into the wooden rails. He then folded his wings to his back and walked inside to you. He stretched his large arms over his head, spreading his wings out to get any aches and pains away. His feathers puffed up a little before settling as he let his arms drop to his sides.
"I have something for you to do."
He spoke with a difinitive air to him. He always spoke like this, like it was sure of everything he did. Like he had no mistakes or regrets. Perhaps it was that or maybe it was a front to make himself seem like he knew what he was doing. He had been out here in the forest MUCH longer than you ever had to it's likely he did know what he was talking about. He tossed some blankets, towels, fabric and other soft things on the ground at your feet. What in the world is this for?
"It's almost winter, we'll need a sturdy nest. The regular hides and leather won't do when the snow starts to come down. You'll need to prepare the nest for the winter."
You stared at him and then at the blankets and then at him. Was he seriously just asking you to make a nest or more like a little bed? Sure you'd do it but it seemed stupid. The heap of blankets and furs on the floor was basically already set up just from throwing it down, why do more when they already had a working bed? Perhaps it was another one of those harpy things you didnt quite get. He did these things pretty often, where you wouldnt understand the reasoning and he would provide no further help or advice on the topic. He was a weird one, that's for sure.
