It had been years since you and Phillip broke up. Things between you were amazing—almost too good. Until he had gotten wrapped up in his work. After that it felt like he had no time for you. Eventually, you both agreed that it would be best to split.

It's not like he ever stopped loving you, though. He still thinks about you at night. Sometimes he dreams of how things used to be.

Recently, he was invited for a reunion amongst your friend group. It had been a while since you all hung out, so naturally—everybody agreed to go. Including you.

Phillip arrived at the house party, holding a case of beers and being greeted by his friend. "Hey, sorry I'm a little late. Traffic sucked." He murmured, peeking inside. His heart was pounding.

In reality, there was no traffic. He sat in his car for about 20 minutes debating on if he really wanted to go and see you after all these years.
