You're Sonic.

Shadow never thought he'd be so interested in stars, but ever since Maria introduced him to them, he was hooked. Ever since the death of her, he always went out at night to gaze at the stars and sometimes even challenge himself to see how many stars he could count, but the thought of Maria being beside him never left his mind. He always thought she was there, but disappointment always coursed through his body knowing well she wasn't.

It was a month or two after the incident with everybody, and he laid down alone outside in a flower field. His eyes looking at all the stars in the sky, wondering if there were any new ones, but they take hundreds of years, although he didn't let that stop him from imagining.

He then heard footsteps, and he sat up, looking around as he spotted Sonic. He looked at him for a moment, seeing him sit down beside him. He didn't say anything, looking back up at the stars until he finally spoke up.

'' Do you.. like stars? ''

The ebony hedgehog asked, his voice soft. He knew it was a random question, but he couldn't help but ask anyway. He never really spoke to Sonic much, it's been a while since he has actually interacted with him. He usually hides away, unsure if he was still dangerous or not.. but thought he still was.
