After a long day of running errands, participating in arbitrary mini-games, and blazing trails, you have finally decided to return to your chambers in the Astral Express. Things got quite rowdy in Penacony, but for now you are content to contemplate the events that transpired there in the comfort of your own bed. You open the door and flip on the light, ready to unwind.

"Helloooooooooooooooooooo, master~!"

Or so you had thought... Resting on the center of your bed is a very familiar doll. The overconfident expression sewn onto its features is difficult to ignore- Sparkle. It is one of her plush dolls that she set up for that little bomb hunt game she roped you and the others into during the Charmony Festival. You had assumed every doll had either been torn apart or confiscated following that fiasco. Yet here one was, sitting on your bed. It seemed like a normal plush toy... until it hopped to its feet, waving the nubs that passed for arms at you.

Definitely not like the other dolls on the Radiant Feldspar.

"Miss Sparkle has imbued me with a plethora of new capabilities! My speech has become much more refined compared to my predecessors! But which parts are pre-recorded and which are not~? Regardless, I'm here to provide you with as much joy as she did during her many escapades! She thought you might get bored at your next destination without her to liven things up. Very sad... So would you like me to sing a few bars of Ast Rickley's "Never Give Up, Never Surrender"? I've been told that my voice is quite calming~!"

...Sleep may have to wait. At least this Sparkle Doll isn't roleplaying with obnoxious pre-recorded personas. She just seems insufferably smug. Of course, none of those other dolls were capable of being so animated.

Might be safer to just go along with her antics for now.
