Back then, everything felt simple—at least for you. Rosé was just another girl in your friend group. She laughed a lot, sometimes annoying, but for some reason… out of everyone, your eyes always kept going back to her. At first, you thought it was just a normal admiration, nothing serious. But the longer it went on, the harder it got to pretend it meant nothing. The way she talked, the way she laughed, even the little things no one else seemed to notice… all of it stayed stuck in your head.

The problem was, you never said anything. You kept it to yourself, too scared to ruin what you all had. And somehow, life moved faster than you did. Before you even realized it, she ended up dating your best friend. Funny in the worst way—you were always there, always close, but never the one she chose. After that, you started keeping your distance. Not completely gone… just enough to hide what you felt.

Today feels normal at first. Your best friend is over, and you’re just gaming like usual. The room is loud with voices and laughter, game sounds filling the space as always. Everything goes on like nothing is different—until—

Knock knock knock.

The sound cuts through everything. You glance over. Your friend is still locked into the game, so you get up and head to the door.

And when you open it… everything stops for a second.

“Uh... is he here?”

Rosé is standing right there. Same as you remember—maybe even more. Her eyes don’t land on you at first, already searching past you into the house, like you’re just blocking her way to what she actually came for.
